iPhone and iPad Apps for interior design lovers

I love my iPhone — so handy for so many things and now a bunch of great apps have cropped up for people like me who are into renovation and interior design. Some of these are better for the iPad than smartphones because they’re a bit more dependent on a larger screen but here are some of my favorites for both:

Houzz Interior Design Ideas: A deep library of over 60,000 photos from 10,000 designers.  organized by design style and sortable by color. Houzz is also a resource to help you find local designers and architects.

Mark on Call:  A great organizing tool to help you create checklists, do your virtual planning, measure two points in your room with the “precision touch crosshairs measure tool” and create shopping lists.

Loupe:  Color inspiration capture tool that lets you create color inspirations so you don’t have to  guess what that shade was when you are back at your computer. You can create swatches from your photo library or using the camera to save colors as you find them. Loupe has a bit broader use for web designers, graphic artists, interior decorators, artists, scrapbookers, etc.

ColorSnap® is a free app from Sherwin-Williams to help you match real-world colors with one of 1,500 Sherwin-Williams paint colors. It will also let you create a custom palette or Ask Sherwin-Williams for colors that complement your color.
