Pop of color

There are lots of signature looks in this image — from the wardrobe with its uniquely designed doors, to the upholstered wingback chair, to the empty frames on the wall.  I think the thing that brings it all together, however, is the bright blue wall.  If it were a muted color, it wouldn’t have nearly the impact. I’m not sure if I’m quite brave enough to use a color like this but I love the way it pulls this room of unique items together to create an even more unique look.

Love it! I’m such a chicken when it comes to color. But I love that blue. I was thinking you could mimic that look on the wardrobe by painting a pattern on it or using a bold wall paper. Not AS cool but cheaper! You know me – I’m all about cheap!

Cheap is good! I’m looking at blues a lot these days — I must be going through a phase. Since color scares you a bit but you like it, maybe you should choose one wall somewhere and go really bold just for fun. If you don’t like it, you can always paint over it :-)
