Poulnabrone Dolmen

When my sister and nephew were here last week, we made a trip to the Poulnabrone Dolmen which I’ve been to a few times before but always enjoy seeing.  It’s a portal tomb dating back to the Neolithic period between 3,800 – 3,600 BC making it older than the Egyptian Pyramids and Stonehenge.  The tomb has a somewhat sinister history given that they found the remains 22 individuals at the site including sixteen adults, six children, and one newborn.  At any rate, it’s an impressive place to see.
