I was very impressed by the city. I can easily see why it’s known as the Paris of the East. I expected it to me very similar to Prague — and while there were similarities, it’s actually much bigger and more metropolitan feeling than Prague. And what a great cafe culture they have in Budapest — great people watching.
In the five days that I was there, we covered a lot of territory — Clodagh and Petra were great hosts and it was quite a privilege to be able to crash at their apartment near the Parliament buildings as it made for a very inexpensive holiday.
