This French country dining room works well with the exposed stone walls and the ghost chairs.
Perhaps just a tiny bit dark but the high ceilings help. I like the little pop of red on the island and the chandelier.

I’ve seen this blocking done so many times but this is the first time I’ve seen it done in color. I love it. So fun.
Italian designer, Alessandro Mendini, designed this “Proust” chair. A designer, journalist & teacher, Mendini created a furniture series of “redesigns” in which he reinterpreted the shape and ornamentation of existing designs. This one is supposed to be a reflection on French author Marcel Proust.
I keep seeing interesting post modern designed rooms that I love. I think I’m leaning towards simple because I have way too much stuff in my little cottage at the moment.
