I lost a lot of the content from the original Tilly’s Cottage website but I found these photos of some of the work that was done on the stairs. I added a transom window with stained glass in the upstairs bedroom in order to bring in more light to the stairway, Everything had to be re-plastered, of course, and I added the poor-man’s version of some wainscotting and then my lovely Cow Parsley wallpaper from Cole & Son (which I still love and it’s held up pretty well over the years).
I’m going to go for a more modern look at Matilda House so I’m excited to share the plan for the stairs when I get to that stage.
