My dear friend, Abby, gave me this awesome mid-century modern dining set. She gave it to me because was getting rid of it (it had belonged to her parents) and I needed temporary furniture to get us through our first year of living at Matilda House before the renovations started. I didn’t originally have any intention of keeping it but it really grew on me and the fallback is an IKEA table. Lord knows, I love me some IKEA but I really wanted to move away from it for this house.
I found a great furniture restorer (thanks again to Abby!) and he’s taken away this table and chairs for a little restorative vacation over the next month. I’m looking forward to seeing how she looks when she comes back to me.
